We’re back

Some kind of virus made it’s way into our home, but today I’m much more coherent than I have been in previous days.
A spoonful of my homemade elderberry syrup in my tea (slippery elm) has been helping with my enthusiasm to stay awake. The sunshine and gorgeous weather, too. I’m always ready for a good storm, however.
The dogs have all been soaking up every ray of sunshine they can get. The younger dogs, Magnolia and Willie, have been frolicking all over the yard, thoroughly sniffing each new plant or interesting specimen they come upon.
The season is really in a sort of ‘transitioning to a transitional period’, and you can tell. Things are happening.

I’m a fan of films that are truly works of art, when each frame could be painting, every song perfectly timed and chosen with such careful consideration, every detail has been thought of and thought of again. Ugh. Wes Anderson knows how to make a film. It wasn’t so much that I loved Margot and Richie’s slightly incestuous “secret” relationship, but the character development in this delightful film is so satisfying.
There’s a part in this film, and the line is “as always, she was late.” A bus stops to let its passengers off, and everything goes silent, Margot steps off. Nico’s “These Days” begins to play, and I remember seeing this part for the first time, and I think my heart stopped. I still get butterflies when I think of it ❤️
